A Beverly Hills home that once belonged to Rihanna has now been bought by John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. The couple, who are expecting their first child, has upgraded to a larger space for $14.1 million. The new contemporary-style mansion, belonging to 37 year old singer-songwriter and his model wife who also happens to be a food stylist and a cookbook author, sits on an acre. Though Rihanna sold the property in 2012 for $5.03 million, John and Chrissy managed to lay hands on it for almost five times more.Ideally designed for entertaining people, the house boasts of three floors of open-plan space.The Beverly Hills mansion, that draws the top players from the world of music, sprawls over 8,520 square feet and features enough space to accommodate Legend’s grand piano. It is home to five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a bar, communal as well as formal dining rooms and a billiard room with a wet bar, a gym and a library.For $14 million it also comes with a cinema along with nine flat-screen televisions scattered all over the house. Other features include a chef’s kitchen with two islands, a gym, an office, three fireplaces and a glass-enclosed catwalk. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls graciously connect indoor and outdoor living spaces.The master suite features a dramatic light fixture and a gas fireplace along with an oversized steam shower, a sauna and a soaking tub.The outdoor space includes a patio, a viewing deck and a swimming pool. The stunning property offers exception view of the ocean, the canyon and its surrounding cityscape.
