Jewels bought by Britain’s King Edward VIII for his American wife, Wallis Simpson, are being put up for auction at Sotheby’s in November.
The jewels are expected to go for between $4-5 million.
King Edward VIII is famous for renouncing his claim to the British throne to marry the divorcee. After Edward abdicated in 1936, he and his wife were bestowed with the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor – although they left England and live abroad most of their lives..
