Iowa-born furniture designer Andrew Kopp creates and builds stylish modern wood furniture displaying bold contours. The designer’s enthusiasm lends energy to his works, allowing each item to become more than just functional – it becomes alive. The minimalist approach to some of the furniture items depict a fantastic style. The Dark Blue table, for example, is a modern interpretation of the classic round table. The tabletop and leg combines wood and dark blue painted wood, creating a wonderful contrast. Another table design – the Tension Table – is available in three different colors and its tall, simple shape is perfect for a modern home.
The seating units are bold and playful, recreating the merger between simplicity and creativity. The Angular Adirondack – seen in the first photo – is an asymmetric chair that best accompanies modern, open-minded lifestyles, while the Shell Bench will surely become subject of discussion. Each piece of furniture expresses the designer’s exploration of dependency relations between different materials and styles.
