After wowing the football fans of the world with exclusively designed Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chrono for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, Hublot is out to woo the New Yorkers with the King Power 692 Bang. The luxury Swiss watch brand has launched the limited edition which has been inspired by the colors of the iconic NYC Taxi Cab. Sporting the signature yellow and black theme, the King Power 692 Bang is exclusive to the brand’s 692 Madison Avenue flagship boutique in New York City.
To honor the exclusivity of NYC Taxi and Hublot in the Big Apple, only 26 pieces of this watch will be produced. Shaped out of black ceramic, the 48 mm case contains self-winding automatic movement and 42 hours power reserve. The dial is adorned with crown, pushers and screws in black PVD titanium.
Even the counters, hands and minute track stand out in yellow on the black face of the dial. The iconic timepiece also comes with a touch of iconic architecture reminiscent of the celebratory city. The case-back of King Power 692 Bang is adorned with a sketch of the Madison Avenue boutique façade, a building designed by famed architect Peter Marino and inspired by the grand luxury townhouses of New York’s historic Upper East Side neighborhood.
The Madison Avenue exclusive Hublot watch can be strapped on to the wrist with interchangeable yellow and black straps. The black rubber and hornback crocodile strap is highlighted with yellow stitching.
CEO of Hublot, Ricardo Guadalupe, commented, “The Hublot brand is thrilled to honor our New York City clients and City enthusiasts with the limited edition King Power 692 Bang. The Madison Avenue boutique, opened in 2011, is Hublot’s flagship in America, and we are excited to honor our history with this great city. Inspired by the yellow NYC Taxi, a city icon, this timepiece allows our customer to celebrate Hublot with New York pride.”
