Dolls are meant for kids. But Barbies have been captivating young girls as well as grown up woman alike. The fashion queen of the doll world has recently received a tasteful makeover by a brand renowned for its bandage dresses.
Hervé Léger by Max Azria Barbie is a collector’s fantasy as this runway-inspired look is created at the same manufacturing unit that shapes the actual collection. She wraps herself in chic couture fashions constructed out of authentic Hervé Léger by Max Azria bandages and yarns.
The leggy doll is clad in a red haute bandage dress with a removable black harness belt, black gladiator boots and a signature black and gold clutch. If red is too hot to handle, then she can opt for a black-and white jacquard dress, open-toe booties and a black-studded clutch. Also the same outfit along with the accessories will be presented in life-size editions to sport the same look as Hervé Léger Barbie.
BCBG Max Azria group chief executive Lubov Azria has stated, “Working with Barbie Collector on this exclusive collaboration has been an incredible experience. The Hervé Léger Barbiedoll is a milestone project that I am excited to share with collectors of both brands.” Paying tribute to Barbie’s femininity while maintaining the brand’s heritage, Hervé Léger by Max Azria doll looks every bit like a supermodel.
For $150, the limited-edition doll will debut on 15th October at Hervé Léger stores, select Neiman Marcus locations and on barbiecollector.com.
