Fashion giant Hermès is taking its brand on the road – literally – with the release of a line of handmade bicycles. The bikes will be available starting in November at a price of $11,000 each.
Hermès is calling the bike ‘Le Flaneur’ – which translates into ‘the stroller’. True to its name, the company points out the bike is not a race or mountain bike – but a ‘real’ bike that people can use everyday.
The bike will be available in two styles crafted from ultra-lightweight carbon filter, each weighing just over 24 lbs and available in three colors: charcoal, red, and white. The bikes are handmade in France by local manufacturer Time.
