Hennessey Venom GT holds a speed record of 435.31 km/h (270.4 mph) and a Guinness World Record of being the World’s Quickest Hypercar zipping from 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) in just 13.63 seconds. With these two records tucked under its hood, the automaker has rolled out an ultra limited edition which is not only the fastest but also one of the rarest supercars. Venom GT World’s Fastest Edition by Hennessey celebrates the speedy achievements.
The World’s Fastest Edition (WFE) sports a white body which is highlighted with red and blue stripes. This special color scheme marks the colors of the American flag, the same flag that was flown on the Space Shuttle runway while setting the speed record. Limited to just three units and flaunting a $1.25 million price tag, the Venom GT World’s Fastest Edition is already sold out.
Press release states that the Venom GT is able to accomplish this speed feat due to enormous power and minimal weight. Lightweight aluminum construction, carbon-fiber bodywork and featherweight carbon-ceramic brakes all make this extraordinary power/weight ratio possible. Its 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 generates 1244 bhp and with only 2743 lb. to accelerate, the Venom GT is not only the fastest series-produced road car; it’s also the quickest.
