St. Regis Abu Dhabi threw its doors open last year as the brand’s second destination in the capital of the U.A.E. Wooing the new generation of luxury travelers, the hotel also boasts of the world’s highest suspended hotel suite, the Abu Dhabi Suite. Suspended high up in the air at over 200 meters, the Abu Dhabi Suite is positioned between the Nation Towers’ 48th and 49th floors.
With such a strategic elevation, the suite promises the best panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and the UAE capital’s skyline. When the guests fly in their choppers and land on the helipad atop the National Towers, they are directly whisked to the Abu Dhabi Suite by a private elevator. High-flying clients crave for such privacy options.
Spreading out over 1,120 square meter (11,600 square feet), the suite is the epitome of luxury as it features cascading strands of crystals, 24-carat gold leaf accents, leather wall tiles, jewel-toned velvet upholstered walls and intricate glass mosaic patterns. The Abu Dhabi Suite also features three bedrooms, luxurious spa and movie theatre as well as a kitchen, dining room and a fully-equipped gym. The grand majlis is the suspended centerpiece that connects the suite’s two wings. It blends Arabian traditions and contemporary sophistication, with floor-to-ceiling windows, an alluring Gilded Age atmosphere and Art Deco-inspired furniture.
More luxury unfolds in form of a fully -furnished private spa with a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, two treatment beds, a private library, a four-seat cinema and 14-seat dining room. To accommodate a wide range of guests, the Abu Dhabi Suite also includes three guest rooms, staff quarters, four bathrooms, a kitchen and a dedicated fitness area.
Oliver Key, General Manager, The St. Regis Abu Dhabi states, “The Abu Dhabi Suite provides our GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) guests with the ultimate in luxury hospitality with the privacy, security, and relaxation they need to have a completely secluded stay. Our guests staying at the Abu Dhabi Suite can find the comforts of home together with unparalleled personalized and anticipatory service.”
