At Google’s I/O conference today, the Amazon Echo competitor Google Home was revealed. It is a slick voice-activated speaker for the home that allows you and your family to get answers from Google, stream music, and manage everyday tasks.
“Home is where lots of daily tasks just need to get done,” said Mario Queiroz, Google’s vice president of product management. “Access to the Google Assistant makes this a lot easier. It’s like having a voice-activated remote control to the real world whenever you need it.”
The cute yet small voice-enabled intelligent speaker has a modular case that you can customize with different base material to match your decor.
No details on timing or pricing of Google Home was provided at the developers conference.
