The 72nd Golden Globe Awards, honoring the best in film and television for 2014, were presented on January 11, 2015, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. One of the biggest dates on the Hollywood calendar pays tribute to the best of the film industry as well as television. While readers can check out the complete winners’ list here, we have picked out winning gowns that graced the red carpet.
2015’s red carpet fashion show debuted with the leading ladies of Hollywood wearing stunning haute couture gowns. The main image above features two Js aka Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston. While J Lo made a plunging statement in Zuhair Murad caped gown, Jennifer Aniston indulged in a bit of leg show clad in a sleeveless Yves Saint Laurent dress with a thigh-high slit.
Gorgeous gowns with trains too made it to our best dressed list of the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. Newlywed Amal Clooney made her red carpet debut in black Dior one-shoulder gown with a train. Dakota Johnson, best known for being cast in the lead role of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey, stole the show in a strapless metallic Chanel gown that featured a thigh-high split and shimmering train.
High on elegance were the gowns worn by actresses Anna Kendrick and Diane Kruger. While Anna looked regal in blush pink floor length gown by Monique Lhullier, we were floored by Diane Kruger’s metallic silver floor length dress designed by New Zealand-born designer Emilia Wickstead.
Supermodels Heidi Klum and Cindy Crawford also defied age in figure-flattering Versace creations. The 41-year and 48-year ladies sprinkled some bold color on the red carpet by opting for scarlet red and cobalt blue gowns.
Kate Hudson’s choice of outfit for the Golden Globe Awards can be honoured as the sexiest gown at the event! Donning Atelier Versace, the Hollywood siren showed of her toned physique as well as some extra skin in a white plunging gown. The glamorous details include diamante side cut outs, a halter neck and a t-bone back.
The 72nd Golden Globe awards got off to a fashionable start!
