London’s chic hotel The Goring (where Kate Middleton stayed before her wedding) has just launched a fashion collaboration with celebrity and Royal favorite milliner Gina Foster.
The collection is made up of five wedding-worthy fascinators and hats, each designed with a specific aspect of the hotel and guest persona in mind.
The Goring hat, for example is a floral bead creation inspired by the hotel Dining Room’s exquisite pink Swarovski crystal chandeliers, while the slightly more understated Victoria is a ladylike piece with light blue tones to match Room 59’s dreamy Damask Gainsborough silk.
“The collection was designed with the Season and particularly Royal Ascot in mind as both are quintessentially English and so is the hotel,” said Foster. “Our hats tend to be traditional with a twist … I was particularly inspired by the gorgeous silks from the Gainsborough Silk Weaving Company that are used on the walls of the rooms and suites – as well as the different sorts of people who stay in the hotel and who attend the Season’s events. Some are flamboyant, some are romantic, some like to be outrageous and some are more conservative.”
