Donatella Versace chose Gigi Hadid to be the face in front of the lens and Steven Klein to be behind the camera for Versace Spring 2016 advertising campaign.Debuting in February, the new Women’s SS16 campaign reflects the Versace woman today, an individual who is proud of her own character. Teaming up with the high profile American photographer for the first time, the brand has roped in the most-sought-after model of the moment Gigi Hadid along with Raquel Zimmermann and Natasha Poly for the latest promotion. Each woman personifies Versace’s empowered individual, with martial arts expert Lukasz Grabowski appearing in the background.Directed by Giovanni Bianco and styled by Jacob Kjeldgaard, the models’ hair has been done by Jimmy Paul and makeup credits go to Lucia Pieroni. Shot at the Salt Flats of California, the vivid, earthy tones of the clothes and accessories stand out in contrast with the location.
Donatella Versace asserts, “This is the Versace woman today, an individual who is proud of her own character. I love Gigi, Raquel and Natasha and everything they stand for.”The Versace Men’s SS16 campaign comes to life with Benjamin Benedek, Nathaniel Visser and Lukasz Grabowski and the mood of adventure found in the collection of fluid tailoring and long layers. “In this new campaign, the Versace man is at his most dramatic, fearless and strong. He is a man of his own mind, no matter where he finds himself,” said Versace.
