Another beauty from Mercedes specialist, FAB.
James Spotting regulars know that when it comes to tuning exotic autos there’s a fine line between elegant upgrade and unseemly overkill. The latest creation from Mercedes-Benz specialist FAB, the SLR Desire, verges on the latter. The Mercedes McLaren SLR already pushes the envelope design-wise, making it one of the few supercars you’d think should be immune from tinkering. Not so for FAB, which has given the vehicle a Batman-esque makeover. That the extensive aerodynamic modifications have been manufactured out of carbon fibre, with certain parts remaining unpainted and a relatively low-key colour scheme overall does not detract from the fundamental wrongness here. – From James List
