What Is SailGP?

SailGP is a global racing championship sailing league featuring 12 national teams competing in identical 50-foot high-tech foiling catamarans known as F50s in 14 races around the world. It was founded by Larry Ellison and Russell Coutts, and is like F1 on the water.

Founded in 2019, SailGP brings together top sailors, including Olympic medalists and America’s Cup champions, representing countries like the United States, Australia, Great Britain, France, and New Zealand. Races take place in iconic waterfront cities, and New York is one of the stops on the calendar.
