Mint juleps and southern flair aren’t just for a once-a-year event like the Kentucky Derby. It’s a “Bourbon and Bowties” party every Friday evening at the Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead. From 6 to 7 p.m. each week, the hotel’s dapper staffers serve up hand-crafted mint juleps (a simple mix of bourbon and mint over crushed ice) and teach dapper gents–and the ladies that love them–the art of tying the perfect southern bowtie.
We recently spent a few nights at this lovely property in one of Atlanta’s poshest neighborhoods, and can easily attest that this is just one of many ways that the staff shows off its gracious southern hospitality.
Planning an event? The hotel also offers this as a special pre-wedding package, presenting groomsmen with a private bourbon tasting and bowtie lesson for up to 10 people for $250.
