Forbes has a great article on green wines, take a look:
We consulted Matt Skinner, author of a new wine guide for beginners, Heard It Through The Grapevine. Skinner has taken a close look at some wineries, mostly in the new world, that are making efforts to produce a greener product. The wineries make various claims, many of which can be tough to quantify. But no matter their success on the green front, says Skinner, their wines are worth drinking. Take Grove Mill in Marlborough, New Zealand, which says it’s the first carbon-zero winery in the world. To achieve that status, first the winery calculated exactly how much carbon it was emitting, from equipment use to shipping the final product. It then started to chisel away at that amount, reducing its reliance on machinery and using lighter-weight bottles. – from Forbes
