The World Cup has brought to the world some amazing sports – but also the sound of the vuvuzela. The vuvuzela – the loud (many say obnoxious) noise maker – has been heard incessantly at every World Cup match in South Africa.
Now, Adam Carnegie, has created eco-friendly vuvuzelas made from dried kelp plant. Carnegie has set up a small factory to create the vuvuzelas and employees local artisans to hand paint each product. The result is a unique product that employees locals – all using sustainable material.
Carnegie’s kelp vuvuzelas sell for $25-$40.
