A famous tourist center near Mexico City, Tepoztlan is a small town, mostly known for the remains of an Aztec in the neighboring mountains. Studio T3arc took advantage of the features of this mystical place and envisioned a hotel that ranks high in sustainability and originality.
As the name suggests, the TuboHotel in Tepoztlan, Mexico is made up of concrete tubes and was inspired by architect Andreas Strauss’ Dasparkhotel – the first hotel made from reclaimed concrete pipes. Composed of rooms stacked on top of each other, the hotel was especially envisioned for those looking for a genuine accommodation experience and a will for exploring an original tourist destination.
Each of the rooms comes with a large comfortable bed and an electric lamp; all the other facilities are common. So this is a lot like camping, only slightly better. For more information, reservation and rates. check out the official hotel website here.
