Actor Don Cheadle and his wife, actress-designer Bridget Coulter, have recently listed their eco-friendly house in Venice, California as for sale. The couple purchased the property two years ago for $894,000; together they completely renovated the home, and have now put it on the market for $2.45 million. This marks the second time the couple has flipped a Venice home. In 2011, Cheadle and Coulter purchased a 789 square foot house and transformed it into an energy-efficient, 1,305 square foot home.
The latest Venice home the couple flipped was also drastically renovated and increased in size. Originally a one story property, the house is now two stories and features a rooftop patio which provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The exterior is simple, with a rust-colored facade that belies the true elegance of the place. The interior, though tastefully decorated and updated, is anything but ostentatious. It artfully straddles the line between rustic and modern. The house contains three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a luxurious kitchen with sprawling marble counter tops, a floating wooden staircase, and a beautiful private garden. The entire home spans 2,400 square feet, which is roughly three times the original size.
