Lucky flyers on Delta Air Lines on December 12th will enjoy a luxe surprise, courtesy of Jack Daniel’s.
In honor of Old Blue Eye’s 100th birthday, the Sinatra Family and one of Frank’s oldest pals, Jack Daniel’s, are partnering with Delta Air Lines to build out exclusive Sinatra and Jack experiences. Loyal flyers will now be able to kick back and travel like Sinatra with special in-flight promotions for Frank’s birthday on December 12th.
The ‘Nectar of the Gods,’ as Frank often referred to his favorite whiskey, could be seen with the entertainer on stages throughout the world from the 1950s through the 1990s. Sinatra would always offer a toast to his audience with a glass of Jack Daniel’s in hand. Now jet-setters can raise a glass and toast Sinatra in a way he’d be proud.
On Frank’s birthday (December 12), all flights departing JFK to LAX will be pouring Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Century, the newest ultra-premium expression of the special-edition whiskey offerings from Jack Daniel’s and crafted in celebration of his 100th birthday. The $500-a-bottle whisky is crafted using the same cave spring water from the Jack Daniel’s Hollow, proprietary yeast and charcoal-mellowing process that’s been used in the distillery’s nearly 150-year-old Tennessee Whiskey recipe.
From there, the liquid enters specially selected “Sinatra” barrels hand-picked out by master distiller Jeff Arnett. In the barrels, the liquid is exposed to extra layers of perfectly toasted oak through a carving process only done at the Jack Daniel’s Cooperage. This allows the ultra-premium whiskey to achieve a pleasantly smoky and rich oak aroma that Sinatra was known to adore. Each exclusive bottle will be enclosed in a luxury gift box inspired by the legendary singer’s signature style. Additionally, the set will also offer a selection of previously unreleased Sinatra tracks, entitled “Sinatra Live at the Sands in 1966,” to accompany the specially designed Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Century bottle.
When crafting Sinatra Century, Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller Jeff Arnett worked side-by-side with the Sinatra Family to meticulously select the particular blend that reflected the true spirit of Frank.
The product will be made available in all cabins from Delta One to Main Cabins. Guests will get to try the limited edition product right from the comfort of their own seats.
