David Beckham and Cathy Moriarty — stars of the short film Outlaws — were joined by friends Justin Theroux, Waris Ahluwalia, Zanna Roberts Rassi, JimMoore, Mazdack Rassi, Cory Kennedy, Michael Avedon, and more as they attended an exclusive celebration of the film last week at one of NY’s most prominent speakeasies, The Back Room, in the Lower East Side.
Commissioned by Belstaff, and shot on location in Mexico, the ‘surreal’ film within a film stars The Stranger, a mysterious drifter and motorcycle stuntman haunted by memories of a beautiful Trapeze Artist… and hunted by a maniacal Director seeking revenge.
“Through Outlaws, we are seeking to express and share the Belstaff spirit with a wider, global audience, in an unexpected way,” said Gavin Haig, Belstaff CEO. “We hope to relay the message that we celebrate those individuals who seek out their own epic adventures in life.”
David Beckham’s mysterious character is meant to represent the brand’s moto heritage, speed, freedom, adventure and daring.
“Belstaff always does things in a different way – the way Outlaws was shot is something that hasn’t been done before, to shoot a campaign that is a short movie, and to work with this cast and these great actors,” said Beckham of working with Belstaff on Outlaws.
In addition to previewing the short, guests enjoyed Haig Club™, a new Single Grain Scotch Whisky, produced in partnership with Beckham and British entrepreneur Simon Fuller.
Outlaws is set to be released globally on September 22, 2015.
