A country estate is all set to be crowned as the new ‘Beckingham Palace’ as David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly fallen for the Abbotswood Estate near Stow-on-the-Wold in Gloucestershire. The 40 year old retired English professional footballer along with his fashion designer wife has shown keen interest in this estate as they returned to take a detailed look with their children Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and four-year-old Harper.After being shown several properties, the celebrity couple appear to have settled for the Grade II-listed country estate in the Cotswolds which boasts a ten-bedroom main house, 13 cottages and 45,000 square foot of modern farm buildings.Currently listed as the most expensive country home for sale in Britain, the impressive estate with a stunning setting, renowned gardens and wonderful views spreads over 774 acres.The main home is 24 times the size of the typical new build in England and is home to six bathrooms and several dining and drawing rooms.The drool-worthy property also features gardens designed by the Edwin Lutyens, two entrance lodges, stunning reception rooms, traditional farm buildings, modern farm yard, lakes, parkland, woodland and arable.Another highlight of this estate is the River Dikler passing through it, which is open for wild brown trout fishing.
