Where’s Darrell?
Reports have claimed that Darrell Hammond is no longer a full-time castmember on Saturday Night Live. The comedian, who has appeared on the long-running late-night sketch show since 1995, was not featured in the opening credits of last weekend’s 35th season premiere with host Megan Fox, says The New York Times. A staff member told the publication that the 53-year-old will no longer be a featured player. However, he is believed to have left on good terms with the show’s producers and will appear sporadically in a character actor capacity, which will include his impressions of politicians Bill Clinton and John McCain.
NBC executives and Saturday Night Live producers have declined to comment on the matter.
It was reported earlier that new castmember Jenny Slate, who cursed during the live broadcast on Saturday, will not be fired for the accidental offence.
