Dreaming of a simple, modern and sophisticated residence? Today’s dream home is exactly that – a house with impressive simplicity expressed through materials and a clever choice of space arrangements. The STV House was designed by Israeli architects of Arstudio – Arnon Nir Architecture. The residential project was completed in 2009, but its 4,100 square feet of interior living spaces are as modern as they get. Luxurious design lines were used to define the facade as well as the interiors.
The three story row-house is located in an urban district of Tel Aviv, Israel and displays a duo of materials on the outside – the lower concrete volume sustains the wood clad volume on top. Cantilevering over the bottom volume, the wood portion enlarges the interior spaces of the northern bedrooms and provides shading for the ground floor. Constructed around a central staircase, the spaces provide social and private amenities. Children’s bedrooms with double-height ceilings and the master bedroom on the first floor provide privacy and welcome inhabitants in an oasis of relaxation.
