Presenting a generous floor plan of almost 5,000 square feet, the Oberen Berg House in Stuttgart, Germany, is a contemporary residence made of several different sized white volumes that project a unified image from far away. Individually constructed, the volumes were created to delimit each space without losing the feeling of a seamlessly designed space. A two-storey entrance hallway welcomes family and guests to the interiors, opening up the views to the distant hillside across the pool in the back garden.
An interplay of floor-to-ceiling windows and protective walls define the floor plan, inviting everyone to take advantage of the beautifully designed interiors and modern landscape beyond the glazing. Open to the opportunities that arise from extending the family, the architecture of this residence is prepared to be differently rearranged to shape a multi-generation family house. Designed by architect Alexander Brenner, the Oberen Berg House sets a new standard for easy to rearrange floor plans and enhances the idea of a strong, unified family dream home.
