For those of you who love a simple, clean residential design, La Marche Villa will appear as a perfect dream home. The contemporary farmhouse would suit a modern lifestyle but also quench the thirst for the simple rural life. This lifesaving combination can be enjoyed by anyone who desires to rent the modern farmhouse and spend quality moments in the presence of beautiful architectural details and chic interior design. The three stories 300 years old residential building was restored after having partially burned back in 1995.
La Marche Villa in in the town of Treia, Italy, was re-designed by Caviano-based design studio Wespi de Meuron Architekten and it took four years to complete. Prepared to sleep 11 people, La Marche Villa is described by its designers: “The project brief was to renovate and transform the property into a contemporary Italian farmhouse and holiday home, with an attached guest house and pool. The masonry has been largely preserved and restored, whereas all the wood structure were replaced. The new white interior surfaces help with reflection of light, giving the feeling of openness.”
