Occupying 105 square meters in a hundreds years old building of Old Jaffa, Israel, this exquisite apartment overlooking a harbor was reconditioned to display its original charm while melding with a fantastic contemporary approach. You might remember the architects working on this project from the Bauhaus Residence, another fantastic daily dream home presented on Pursuitist. Israeli architectural design office Pitsou Kedem designed the Jaffa Apartment to encompass both old and new in an unforgettable residential space.
By preserving the original textures and materials, architects created a shell of the past that would be filled with the comfort of today. In this shell, contemporary lines and materials take their place to beautify and upgrade the overall appearance and offer a glimpse into a respectful future – one where harmony thrones over the mixture of old and new. Prepared to offer the inhabitants a background for their modern lifestyle, this apartment is an idyllic home, where drama of the past floods the luxurious comfort of the present.
