Imposing its architecture on the inhabitants’ lifestyle, the fascinating FF House spreads over 5,950 square feet in the city of Londrina, Brazil. Renowned São Paulo-based studio Studio Guilherme Torres gave the family currently occupying the property a contemporary dream home. Designed to suit the needs of a modern lifestyle and create a comfortable environment for the couple and their two preadolescence kids, the modern residence presents itself as warm and inviting.
Vertical design lines guide the eye above, while the caramel Portuguese tiles at the entry prepare guests for a hospitable set of interiors. The plan of the house resembles the adjoining of four cubes, while the textures and materials compose a modern, highly efficient shell. Visually, materials capture the light and allows it to explore their elements – changing from daylight to nightlight, the walls are always part of the design, but in ever changing ways. Even the white walls were covered with art, completing the views captured from glass walls. Locally resourced materials give the home its charm and personality, further deepening the owner’s joy of living a Brazilian lifestyle.
