This Seattle dream home is located in the city’s Leschi neighborhood. Local design studio Pb Elemental imagined a contemporary suite of spaces perfectly adapted for the young family with two small children who commissioned them to build a dream house.Named the Azaya House, the inviting home features an inverted floor plan, with the three bedrooms downstairs. On the upper level, social spaces compose a bright and friendly atmosphere, dotted with colored furniture displayed on a white background. Here, the space is composed of the kitchen, dining and media zone, all sharing the same space.
The south-facing living zone is easily accessed via an interior steel staircase and there is an additional set of stairs leading to the rooftop terrace, where family and guests retreat for quiet quality moments. Gathering views of Lake Washington from the east, the modern property replaces an old corner lot building, keeping some of the existing foundation, but revamping it to suit the needs of a growing family. The two level home showcases a facade of white stucco and horizontal siding, pierced by glass insertions that allow natural light to be filter through the interiors. Dream home material, right?
