In the heart of Manhattan’s trendy Meatpacking District, a portal to a world of myth and color has materialized. Genesis House, has unveiled CHROMA: Tales Between Hues, an immersive installation brought to life in collaboration with Tony and Grammy-nominated actress and singer Ashley Park. This new experience invites guests to step directly into the soul of Korean folklore.

CHROMA is a multi-sensory narrative journey that guides visitors through six distinct, colorful worlds. Each chapter is inspired by a curated Korean folktale, with its emotional core translated into a vivid landscape of light and sound. The experience is visually unified by the Obangsaek—the traditional Korean color spectrum of blue, red, yellow, white, and black. This palette provides the emotional and aesthetic backbone, allowing timeless stories to unfold in a profoundly contemporary and visceral way.

For Genesis, this project is a natural extension of its brand philosophy. “At Genesis, we champion bold creativity and the power of storytelling to engage with consumers through experiences inspired by our distinctly Korean roots,” said Tedros Mengiste, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America. “Ashley Park’s creative vision and passion for her heritage come to life in a way that reflects our brand’s cultural ethos in a vividly immersive activation.”

“As a proud Korean American, I am interested in connecting inspiration from my heritage and family, with the scope of both universal conversations and the personal journeys of the characters I create and the stories I tell,” said Ashley Park. “Partnering with Genesis House on CHROMA: Tales Between Hues has allowed me to share these folktales while integrating my personal reflections and relationship to culture in the universal language of emotion. This has been a truly special process, and I am beyond grateful to create an experience that brings Korean folklore to life both emotionally and visually for visitors around the world.”
CHROMA: Tales Between Hues is now open to the public at Genesis House, located in New York City’s Meatpacking District.
