Christian Louboutin is joining forces with the French e-concept store SportyHenri.com to launch a new capsule footwear collection.
The luxury shoe designer has created four limited-edition styles for the retailer, inspired by the Sporty Henri motto “Mettre Le Sport En Valeur”. Each style is based on Louboutin’s own men’s sneaker designs for his eponymous label, featuring classic high-top and low-rise designs.
Sporty Henri’s colour palette of crisp white, cobalt blue and black has been combined with the famous signature Louboutin red sole, which appears here in rubber. The shoes also bear the retailer’s distinctive logo, which references the platform’s founder and former French professional handball player Henri Tai.
“It’s a real pleasure for me to touch and create some exclusive designs which, I think, represent the values that are dear to Henri: sport mixed with style in a fun and colourful way,” explained Louboutin in a statement.
This is the second time in a few months that the two brands have collaborated, following the duo’s work creating the official outfits for the Cuban National Team for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. Louboutin created a high-top trainer and the loafer-style Naza Star for men, and a block kitten heel sandal for female athletes, the Naza Sandal for the occasion. However, as the pieces were created solely for the Cuban National delegation, the new collaboration will be the first time their pieces have gone on sale to the public.
Christian Louboutin for SportyHenri.com is available at SportyHenri.com and at select Christian Louboutin flagship boutiques including New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Seoul, Dubai, Tokyo and Beijing.
