London Collections: Men has already become a staple of UK’s menswear calendar and is a fabulous way to kick off the season. Christian Louboutin has opened the Autumn/Winter 2015 season by appearing at London Collections: Men alongside designers Todd Lynn and E. Tautz’s Patrick Grant.
For nearly a decade, Todd Lynn has put forth Red Soles to accompany his women’s collections up and down the runway. For Autumn/Winter 2015, Lynn presented a full men’s line at London Collections: Men, featuring two new pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes. Both Chelsea Boot and a mid-top sneaker feature elastic straps that emphasize Lynn’s theme for the season: protection.
As for E. Tautz, British Fashion Award-winning designer Patrick Grant set out to create a collection honoring the industrial history of Northern England. Christian Louboutin played the role of inspiration for shoes for this British designer. Christened Louis XI, the AW15 shoe stays true to its industrial heritage, from the single tawny buckle to the muted brass studs that surround the upper. A wood and rubber sole gives the shoe a outstanding edge and modern cut with a familiar shade of red.
Patrick Grant spoke in support of the Parisian designer, “Monsieur Louboutin was in the shop one day and happened to overhear me moaning about show shoes for SS14. He stepped in and saved the day.”
Christian Louboutin’s runway collaborations will be available for pre-order from July onward.
