Christian Lacroix is teaming up with Petit Bateau and the famous Opéra Garnier in Paris for a new capsule collection for women and children.
Set to go on sale at Petit Bateau boutiques and the Opéra Garnier store on December 6, the collaboration will feature six as-yet-unidentified pieces (four for women and two for kids).
Lacroix left his namesake label back in 2010 (although the brand now lives on under new management and creative director Sacha Walckhoff), and has since worked designing exhibitions, costumes and sets for ballet and opera productions.
He’s currently at work on Balanchine’s “Le Palais de Cristal,” with music by Georges Bizet, premiering next May at the Opéra Bastille.
In 2011, Lacroix produced a capsule collection for Spanish brand Desigual, for which he was forced to use the ‘Monsieur C. Lacroix’ name due to licensing conflicts with his old maison.
