Charlie le Mindu presented his second collection Gold Sabah for Paris Couture Fashion Week on the second floor of the prestigious Galeries Lafayette. Highlighting the traditions of haute coiffure, the unusually designed head pieces were crafted out of finest real human hair.
The head sculptures have been inspired by African tribal culture and hair styles of the urban communities of African descent in the West. The gold-coated models sported the gilded hairy art-works exclusively created by Hairdreams. They are renowned for luxuriously sculpted hair creations. Charlie le Mindu, who is also favored by Lady Gaga, teamed up with Atsuko Kudo to dress up the models in latex couture ensembles to showcase the collection.
The headgear on the left sports Minotaur like horns while the other one resembles a hamburger.
The models moved about in wild fashion sporting heinously designed hoods and masks. Those willing to conceal their identity may sport such creations, some of which cover the face too.
What do you think of the mask that is designed with two baby-like faces?
The King of Haute Coiffure said, “I was really inspired by lots of different African tribes, but mostly by the Queen of Sheba because she is a really strong and powerful woman. I’ve always been inspired by the very intense woman.” His favorite picks from the collection is the one with a pair of horns and a soaring Afro headpiece.
