An evening of celebration and giving back, the 2nd Annual #SupportYourGirlfriends Pow(H)er Awards Dinner happened in New York City on November 13th, 2018 at Clyde Fraziers from 6-10pm.
The #SupportYourGirlfriends Pow(H)er Awards evening includes a panel presentation, entertainment, dinner, cocktail reception, silent auction, music by DJ Teal, networking and dancing.
Nikkia McClain, CEO and Founder, has identified a dynamic group of honorees who will be presented with the 2018 Unapologetically HerAward. This year, honorees included:
- Wendy Williams, TV Personality, Host, Media Mogul
- Soledad O’Brien, Award-winning Journalist; Founder, PowHERful Foundation
- Tamika Mallory, Co-Founder, Women’s March
- Tina Davis, Vice-president of A&R, EMPIRE Records
- Psyche Terry, Founder and CEO, UI Global Brands, Urban Hydration
- Candic “Miss Diddy” Brown, CEO, The Brand Group
The evening was dedicated to giving back and recognizing the works of others. The PowHERful Foundation, founded by Soledad O’Brien and her husband Brad Raymond in 2012, was acknowledged for its work to provide financial support to young women pursuing higher education.
