Chanel’s first pop-up store in the U.S. open up! The French fashion house is literally taking the show to the road with the opening of its ephemeral boutique in Aspen, Colorado. Open from 27th June until July 6, the 1,850-square-foot outpost is located in the mountainside Casa Tua restaurant and private club.
Exclusively conceived to exhibit and sell the pre-fall Mètiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection, the site’s ambiance perfectly complements the brand’s style.
The interior of the French fashion house’s first US pop-up store on the second floor is based on the Wild West theme. Contemporary furniture blends with the west-styled décor that highlights charcoal walls plastered with vintage images of cowboys. While navy and red flags hang from central trees, vintage wood bookshelves showcase antique objects and accessories from the collection.
A sparkling sign of Chanel’s logo with a red Texas star grabs attention at the entrance of the temporary store.
Barbara Cirkva, Chanel’s president of fashion division also commented about this new opening, “It all came together when we were in Dallas with Karl. Obviously you can never repeat what had been done in Dallas because it was so special, but we thought, ‘We have to do something with this incredibly creative, unique collection,’ and thinking about places where it would resonate, Aspen popped to mind.”
