The legendary French fashion house rides on Gabrielle Coco Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld’s charisma to be voted as the most desired company to work for in fashion. Chanel leads the list of 25 most-desirable fashion companies to work for in a survey conducted by Women’s Wear Daily.WWD asked the students at top fashion schools around the world, as well as readers on it’s social media networks to pick their dream job company from over 200 companies, brands and designers. Chanel and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton held onto their top two positions in the student responses. The rest of the top five spots were secured by Christian Dior, Alexander Wang and Diane von Furstenberg.Founder of the Parisian luxury fashion house Coco Chanel’s quote speaks volumes of the brand’s popularity even in this day and age, “fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street; fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”While Chanel has been at forefront of breaking fashion norms for women, the iconic brand has also striven hard to cling on to the tradition with the timeless classic designs for the modern divas.
