Although Cara Delevingne has announced her resignation from the world of fashion, the 23 year old IT model stars for Stella McCartney’s lingerie collection. The English fashion designer has once again launched an exclusive collection of lingerie designs in support of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month.Shot by Sean Thomas, the campaign that supports the launch shows Cara dressed in Alina Playing designs. The British model also poses by making a heart shape with her hands at her chest.
Available for $110, the Alina Playing bras are offered in two designs. A sheer soft cup bra in deep fuchsia geometric lace features a wide underband and adjustable straps with signature gold hardware. While the soft and lightly padded contour plunge bra in deep fuchsia geometric lace features wide straps with signature gold hardware and hook fastening at the back. Both can be complemented with $55 Alina Playing briefs.McCartney said Delevingne “represents a generation of young women that we are really trying to reach.” With the campaign, she is also keen to inspire all generations of women to be aware of breast cancer and be aware that preventing it is the most positive approach.A percentage of proceeds from the sale of these designs will be donated to the Linda McCartney Centre in the UK,the National Breast Cancer Foundation in the US and the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia to support their work in providing the most advanced treatments and technologies for patients with breast cancer.
The Alina Playing range will be available to buy on McCartney’s Web site along with retailers including Net-a-porter.com, Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus in the U.S. and Harrods and Selfridges in London.
