Fashion meets food at Burberry’s newly expanded London flagship at 121 Regent Street. British heritage fashion brand has opened its first cafe which breaks the usual notion that fashion people do not indulge in eating much. Christened Thomas’s, after the brand’s founder Thomas Burberry, the new cafe features an all-day menu and interiors inspired by British craftsmanship. Burberry’s first eating outlet at the Regent Street store is located in a new two storey “gifting area” and strengthens the connection between fashion and food. The store that celebrates the very best of British craftsmanship, creativity and produce, is the first permanent restaurant offering classic English food using seasonal produce from small farmers and artisan suppliers. Open seven days a week, the all-British menu includes great wines and a tea menu devised by tea company, Lalani & Co.Along with the first ever in-store restaurant, Burberry has also launched a gifts department at their flagship store. The new luxury gifting destination offers exclusive products along with personalization services.Speaking in support of the debuting cafe, Christopher Bailey commented, “We wanted to create a space where our customers can spend time relaxing and enjoying the world of Burberry in a more social environment”
