Burberry presents a very fashionable motivation to the French to celebrate Christmas in true British style. Burberry is the first British luxury house to team up with Printemps for festive celebrations in 2014. Burberry is delivering the Christmas spirit and the traditions of London and Paris in a playful celebration at Printemps which is one of the most iconic department stores in the world with a strong international mindset and a reference for fashion, luxury and beauty.
The duo have already launched ‘The Magical Christmas Journey by Burberry’ which tells the story of a journey of a little boy and his teddy bear who travel from the Burberry flagship store at 121 Regent Street, London, to the Printemps department store in Paris. It celebrates the Burberry heritage, innovation, music and British weather and Printemps’ values of Parisian elegance, creativity and a sense of sharing.
More merriment follows as the illuminated facade, the animated windows and the atrium space along of the Printemps Haussmann will be given a Burberry makeover. Poetic and magical, the Printemps façade reflects the magic of Christmas lights and features for the first time an animated character in 3D. Another first milestone is that the windows will feature an interactive element, allowing audiences to explore the iconic festive scenes of the Printemps windows in a new and innovative way.
The atrium allows visitors and shoppers to take a closer look at Christmas tree which surrounded with Burberry letters, charms and snowballs along with piles of Burberry gift boxes. Also a train travels around the tree, delivering gifts from the collection of exclusive pieces created by Burberry for Printemps.
The capsule collection exclusive to Printemps comprises of ready-to-wear, accessories, special gifts and collector’s items like the Illuminating Crocus fragranced candle available for $55. The exclusive collection also offers Burberry Beauty gifts including the new My Burberry fragrance with a red gabardine hand-tied knot for about $150 and a make-up box set for nails and face. The limited edition collection is designed around themes such as ‘The English Rose’; ‘The Punk’ and ‘The Pillar Box.’
It also includes the iconic Burberry trench coat in form of English Rose Kensington in honey hand-painted floral cotton gabardine for $2,000 and the Punk Sandringham in studded black leather for $3,800. The collection also boasts of a Bloomsbury Grenadier bag in black fur and leather worth $4,500 and a Grenadier teddy bear in stone shearling for $1,600.
