The ongoing celebration of Bulgari’s 130th anniversary gives us one more reason to share about an outstanding handbag. The Italian fashion house is celebrating with the new Icona 10 handbag that pays tribute to the origin of Bulgari’s success story: the historic flagship in via Condotti 10.
The design of this iconic bag has been inspired by Roman architecture. Shaped out of crocodile leather, matte and glossy as agate, the Icona 10 handbag is intended to deliver a perfect balance of form and function for the dynamic, sophisticated and elegant woman. The classic handbag is offered in three alluring, limited-edition shades of rubellite pink, mandarin garnet and topaz blue. Each edition sports Bulgari’s signature twist-lock clasp.
However it’s the uber-excluvie fourth edition (featured as main image) that is crowned as the most glamorous of the collection. The Icona 10 in emerald green agate-like matte crocodile is bejeweled with a diamond pavé clasp.
Those who are already itching to grab one of the iconic bags from Bulgari can pick the Icona shoulder bag in opal blue shiny alligator skin and white calf leather. Fitted with a purple jade closure and orchid orange twist lock, it has enough room with two internal compartments. The small Icona is sized at 10.2 x 5.9 x 3.8″ and is available for $12,500.
