One of the most famous cities of the US, renowned for glamour, shopping and home to many actors and celebrities, turns 100 on Jan. 28 2014. And to commemorate the ten decades milestone, The Beverly Hills Hotel is set to unveil an exclusively designed Suite 100.
To mark Beverly Hills’ 2014 Centennial, the suite is set to be redecorated to celebrate a different era from the past century. Guests staying at this suite will be transported back to moments in time from the past 100 years and can indulge in the legendary style of one of the world’s most glamorous cities. The celebratory suite has been inspired by the lifestyle of Marilyn Monroe who was also a regular at the hotel. Designed by one of the most renowned hospitality designers, Adam D. Tihany, The Beverly Hills Hotel’s Suite 100 reflects the understated-elegance style of Paul Williams, the celebrated architect who designed the hotel’s Polo Lounge. This suite is gracefully decked up in curved furnishings in rich hues of green and blue that sets off with the existing architectural details of the suite’s curved ceilings and walls. Featuring black lacquer finishes, tropical prints, shag carpets and a bar made of rich sycamore wood, the decor beckons Californian style.
The Suite 100 – The Golden Age inspired by Marilyn Monroe is priced at $3,795 per night and will roll out a variety of Marilyn Monroe-themed services and amenities. These includes a display case showcasing original artifacts from her estate, a comprehensive library featuring her most popular books and films, a Champagne Bubble Bath Menu option, bottle of Chanel No. 5, and well-known song selections from the 1950’s at turndown service.
Along with The Beverly Hills Hotel, even Montage Beverly Hills, The Beverly Hilton, L’Ermitage Beverly Hills and The Peninsula Beverly Hills will create Suite 100s that capture specific moments in time.
Julie Wagner, Executive Director of the Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau states, “Thanks to Suite 100 and the commitment of five of our most luxurious hotels, only in Beverly Hills in 2014 can travelers go back in time to experience the luxury of an earlier era.”
Edward Mady, West Coast regional director US and general manager, The Beverly Hills Hotel also encapsulates, “Having just celebrated our centennial milestone in 2012, we are thrilled to be participating in this nostalgic promotion to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of Beverly Hills. Our Suite 100 personifies one of the many glamorous moments in the legendary heritage of The Beverly Hills Hotel, and the Norma Jean Experience pays homage to one of the world’s most enduring icons. We are very proud of our storied history with this wonderful community, and look forward to another century of service to neighbors, visitors and Hollywood royalty.”
Guests may begin booking Suite 100 – The Golden Age inspired by Marilyn Monroe, and the Norma Jean Experience, on January 28, 2014, the city’s centennial day, for stays between March 7 and December 31, 2014.
