If you want to see what the European automakers are up to, all you have to do is hang around the Nurburgring and sooner or later you’ll get a glimpse of their future product. Such was the case recently when a Bentley Bentayga wearing a bit of camouflage showed up at the legendary track for some testing.
You can see pictures of the masked Bentley at Speed 6 Online.
While we’re sure the basic shape is close to final, you can see some details on the car that are used to hide its final form from prying eyes like ours. Both the headlights and taillights are clearly overlarge and do not match those of other cars in the Bentley family. Other details in the front fascia are significantly different from what Bentley have shown in this video.
The very odd rear quarter panel with the three angled creases extending into the rear door will, of course, be gone. And who knows what’s going on with that wrap over the rear window.
What we do know is that the Bentayga will challenge Land Rover for the title of most capable (and most expensive) SUV on the planet, deploying the latest technology to not only make driving in the most extreme conditions easier, but safer and more comfortable. And we’ll be driving it as soon as it becomes available.
Stay tuned as we learn more.
