We love our SmartPhones and tablets. We love compact with our tech. But sometimes compact isn’t the most efficient way to interact with our mobile devices. Case in point is the beloved iPad. Everyone has been there, dreading having to type out a long email or document on the internal keyboard. It’s clunky and awkward. Thus, we sometimes have to compromise and tote along an external keyboard.
So, if you’re going to cave in and bring along a keyboard while you travel, you want the least obtrusive device as possible. That brings us to the new Belkin Ultimate Keyboard Case for iPad.
The Belkin Ultimate Keyboard Case for iPad is billed as the thinnest, lightest and smartest keyboard for the iPad. The keyboard is only 6.4mm thin and 17 ounces in weight, thus providing a slim 3/4″ profile that highlights the iPad’s design and minimizes bulk. The keys have a definitive motion, so you can actually tell when you’ve hit them.
Using magnets on top of the keyboard to hold it in place, the iPad can be set at one of three angles. The keyboard is paired to the iPad via Bluetooth. The Ultimate Case has smart cover technology that turns the iPad on/off when the case is open/closed. The iPad is completely protected when closed.
Early feedback indicates the keyboard is a bit cramped – but that’s not unexpected for iPad keyboards.
Belkin Ultimate Keyboard Case for iPad goes on sale in April for $100 for the black model, or $130 for white.
