Kate Moss and Lara Stone shot together for the first time — fully clothed, but in the midst of a “mysterious conversation…”
This sensual shot is Balenciaga’s provocative new Fall ad, and a double model coup, as reported by WWD.
“For me, the fall collection began with the real women of Balenciaga — women who are multifaceted and multidimensional: strong and sensual yet also austere and mysterious,” said Alexander Wang, Balenciaga’s creative director. “I wanted the first image for the campaign to frame Kate and Lara in a mysterious conversation.”
In the image, Moss reclines on her side with an arm draped around Stone, leaning in… for a whisper? a kiss? the kill?
Images for Balenciaga’s Fall campaign were shot by Steven Klein with art direction by Pascal Dangin of KiDS Creative. Models were styled by Panos Yiapanis, with hair by Anthony Turner and makeup by Val Garland.
The campaign will appear in international publications in July.
