Australia has fresh new face in town- the new QT Melbourne, a hotly-anticipated down under design hotel that debuted last week.
The hotel brings a chic, new designer landmark to the heart of the city’s Central Business District (CBD) at the “Paris end” of the exclusive Collins Street precinct, where 1920s rag traders plied their wares and from which the city’s creative spirit still stems.
The 188-room hotel offers an industrial-inspired design ethos characterized by elements of handcrafted steel, stone and timber throughout, as well as unique art and a curated collection of cutting-edge video art that’s sure to make a splash.
When it comes to drinking and dining, QT Melbourne excels, offering The Cake Shop, a mouthwatering bakery and patisserie in the hotel’s lobby; the hotel’s signature French-style brasserie, Pascale Bar & Grill; and an edgy laneway bar, Hot Sauce, which will boast an extensive selection of hot sauce varieties from around the world along with a menu of craft cocktails and rare Japanese whiskeys.
We can’t wait to visit next time we’re in Melbourne!
