Yann Martel’s Mann Booker Prize-winning novel ‘Life of Pi’ is one step closer to a big screen treatment.
Director Ang Lee has completed a worldwide talent search for someone to play the pivotal lead role of Pi Patel, a youth who gets stranded in a lifeboat for months with a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan, and a Bengal tiger. For the role, Lee has tabbed newcomer Suraj Sharma – who has never acted before.
