Amazon reportedly working on 3D smartphone

We’ve heard this before – Amazon is working on a smartphone. Now the Wall Street Journal has new developments on Amazon’s elusive smartphone, but with a unique twist – this one has a 3D display AND eye tracking features.

Sources say that Amazon is working on not one smartphones, but two. The high-end model will include a 3D display as well as eye tracking features. A user would navigate to content by moving their eyes.

There have been other 3D and eye tracking devices, but none have been anything more than novelties.

The WSJ report says that their Amazon sources have noted that the project “could be shelved because of performance, financial or other concerns.”
