Last week at Pebble Beach a 1962 Ferrari GTO sold for a record $38 million. But you can buy one for the low, low price of $10,250.
There is a catch of course.
This GTO is a one-eighth scale model hand-crafted in Bristol, UK by Amalgam Fine Model Cars.
Amalgam have been making exquisite models since 1985 and if the 250 GTO is not your cup of tea, they also produce everything from vintage Bentleys and Bugattis to modern day Aston Martins, Lamborghinis and Porsches. The models themselves are painstakingly accurate. In the case of the newer models they are made under license from the car companies using the original manufacturers CAD drawings. For vintage cars, they measure and catalogue every part, reproducing them with exacting precision right down to the tread pattern used on the original tires.
In addition to cars, Amalgam also produces model Yachts and full-size recreations of Formula 1 steering wheels for display in your home or office. More information on Amalgam’s models can be found at www.amalgamcollection.com
