A new travel concept has entered the luxury market enabling travelers to visit and explore America’s national parks in style and comfort.

Airstream 2 Go offers rentals of current-model Airstream trailers complete with a matching GMC Yukon Denali sport utility vehicle. As the cost to buy one of an Airstream ranges from $65,000 to more than $80,000, plus the additional cost of the Denali with which to tow it (starting MSRP is $56,598) the opportunity to rent a package such as this will be welcome by anyone who has dreamed of going on a luxurious road trip to such destinations as Yosemite, Big Sur, Grand Canyon National Park or Zion National Park.

Though the company is independently owned and operated, it has close ties to Airstream, the manufacturer of the namesake luxury trailers. Airstream 2 Go is the exclusive factory-authorized source in North America for current model rental Airstreams. Its founder and CEO, Dicky Riegel, previously served as president and CEO of Airstream and Senior Group President of Thor Industries, the world’s largest recreation vehicle manufacturer and parent company of Aistream, Dutchmen, Heartland, Thor Motor Coach and Champion.

”Aistream trailers have been an American icon for travel and adventure since 1931 but, until now, only Airstream owners have been able to access the brand,” says Riegel. “Through this rental program, Aistream 2 Go provides adventurous travelers with a timeless vacation and travel experience.”

Airstream 2 Go trailers feature sleek and contemporary interiors designed by award-winning San Francisco architect and designer, Christopher C. Dream. Each of the company’s Airstreams feature such luxurious amenities as plush linens and towels, flat screen LED televisions, Sony DVD/CD players, iPod docks and integrated sound systems. Airstream 2 Go offers two different sizes—a 23 foot trailer that sleeps four or a 28 foot trailer that sleeps six. Each Airstream are also equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, Weber barbeque grills and Zip-Dee powered awnings.

For clients interested in a turn-key experience, the company offers a range of fully-customized itineraries, complete with such activities as rock climbing, sea kayaking, private surfing lessons and guided tours led by marine biologists and naturalists. To do so, Airstream 2 Go has partnered with Off The Beaten Path (http://offthebeatenpath.com), a Bozeman, Montana-based award-winning travel planning and outfitting company that specializes in adventure travel around the world.

Airstream 2 Go clients can choose from three types of trips organized by Off The Beaten Path. There are planned itineraries such as the “California Adventure” or the “Southwest Sojourn”. Clients can also opt to work with Off The Beaten Path to plan a customized itinerary. Clients can also select the “take it and go” plan in which they make all the travel arrangements on their own.

Trips are a minimum of five days in length. A basic do-it-yourself seven day trip for the 23 foot long trailer costs $5,300 while the 28 foot trailer packaged with a fully customized itinerary for seven days costs $7,500.

Depending on the itinerary selected, clients pick up their Airstream in Los Angeles or Las Vegas. They are then given a full overview and training about the trailer and the tow vehicle. Renters are given a fully loaded iPad Mini which contains all the necessary safety systems, a copy of their itinerary, maps and a music playlist.
